Program and lunch will be provided by Janet Salls with Westye Group Southeast. Janet's class will be on “Specifying Sophisticated Residential Cooking Appliances”(1 CEU/HSW)

 

Learning Objectives:

Describe the design of the kitchen in visual terms.

Describe a wide range of cooking functions.

Compare gas and electric as primary fuel choices.

Describe seven kinds of functional cooking units available for the stove top.

Describe three types of ovens.

Describe three or more cooking functions available in an oven.

Describe how each of these considerations affects design options generally: Safety considerations, Ergonomic considerations, Size and weight of cooking units, and Ventilation.
