Kids Workshops
Two daily sessions - Thursday, July 31 – Saturday, August 3, 2025
10-11:45 a..m. - Morning session*
1:30-3:30 p.m.- Afternoon session*
Kids and their parents are invited to register for the Kids’ Pop-Up Workshops available during the convention where there will be presentations, hands-on fun learning about architecture, planning, engineering, and construction. Model-building exercises will be integrated within each workshop. Presented by AIM, BAM, KAP and ACE volunteers.
*Parent/Guardian must be present during the workshops.

Introduction to Architecture
This workshop will introduce students to architecture in an interactive and fun manner that sets the stage to understanding the importance of the built environment and the professionals that design it. The workshop explains who are the people that design our communities and how to become one of these professionals. A basic paper folding model-building technique will be practiced during this session to create excitement for the afternoon session.

Hands-on Community Model Building
The group will build a model of a community, based on the lessons from the previous session. The final product will be on exhibition for the remainder of the convention.

Architecture Through Feelings
The "Architecture Through Feelings" workshop introduces children to environmental psychology, exploring how space influences emotions, consciousness, and perception. Through tactile exploration of materials, participants will feel architecture before they create it. By discovering how textures shape experiences, children will transform their impressions into a unique 3D house project, turning sensory exploration into intentional design.

From Canvas to Architecture
The "From Canvas to Architecture" workshop explores the deep connection between architecture and art, demonstrating how abstract visual compositions can shape spatial design. Through creative exploration, participants will transform their abstract artworks into three-dimensional exhibition spaces, learning how artistic expression influences architectural form.
