The Foundation was chartered in 1967 by the Florida Association of the American Institute of Architects, and is governed by a Board of Directors, who also have experience as state directors and leaders of AIA Florida.
Mission
The Florida Foundation for Architecture is a non-profit organization that exists to advocate the value of architecture to audiences beyond the profession. This is accomplished through Foundation events, initiatives and programs which feature architecture and are open and available to the general public and related professions as well as architects.
Giving
Donate Now
The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization and contributions are tax deductible. The foundation welcomes gifts of monies, property, or legacies in order to support the growth of its long term endowment fund. The Foundation relies on the generous support of the AIA membership, allied professionals and private citizens who may share a concern for the quality of the built environment and support the avid stewardship of architecture and architectural research.
Programs
Architecture in Education is a STE[A]M focused, Florida Standards Based, educational program by the Florida Foundation for Architecture. Architecture in Education (AIE) is a dynamic, eight to ten week, curriculum-enrichment program that matches professional architects with classroom teachers. AIE sharpens a student’s math, social studies, art, and other core academics with real-life, project-based learning.
