Introduction
The course provides a detailed overview of what and how architects should be including in their Construction Documents, culled from the current edition of the Florida Building Code, that facilitates a road map for plans examiners to more rapidly review the design for code compliance and lessen the time to obtain and issue a building permit.
Description
A case study for a design project is provided to demonstrate the code-required information.
Objective
At the end of this program, participants will be able to: *Better able to understand the need and necessity to provide Construction Document information relative to the design of a building or interior for submission for a building permit; *Be able to discern the important information that must be a part of the Construction Documents in order to expedite the review process; *Explain to a plan reviewer in a concise manner, both visually and verbally, the design parameters affected by the building code and *Provide Construction Documents to the authorities having jurisdiction that will on the architect’s side, provide the building’s owner’s quick review and approval saving time and money for all involved.
