Advanced FBC-Accessibility Demons-6th Edition (FBC Course #: 910 AIA Course #: DL18ADVFBCA)

Hours: 2 HSW/FBC

THIS IS AN ADVANCED COURSE

Description

This course addresses nuances of accessible design and highlights little noticed elements which are not well known to practitioners and those where non-compliances are found during inspection. Also explained are ways in which architects can mitigate problems through detailing and drawing notations that delineate the requirement on a “project-specific” basis. It looks beyond code requirements and dives into the weeds of compliance, providing specific, re-useable guidance for architects

Objective

Help participants understand the nuances of compliance with the requirements of the Florida Building Code – Accessibility and the common reasons for non-compliance with those requirements. Participants will understand the impact of day-to-day construction practices that affect compliance and be able to develop techniques for addressing those concerns through clearer and more detailed documentation and field observation.

On Demand Course: $200.00
