This course provides a practical overview of the five wall types in the Florida Building Code, 9th Edition (2026), focusing on fire-resistance-rated walls, opening protectives, and their roles in passive fire protection systems. Through case studies, testing examples, and real-world applications, participants will gain a clear understanding of wall ratings, fire protection ratings, code requirements and proper application for code-compliant building design.
