Course Description:
This course reviews the ABC's of proper
masonry design and construction with regards
to preventing moisture penetration.
Specific Behavioral (Performance) Objectives:
After taking the course the participant will know
how to implement the three main strategies by
which designers, contractors and engineers can be assured of a water
tight exterior masonry wall.
Learning Objectives:

? Understand why integral water repellents are important and what they are.
? Understand the types of water resistant coatings available for masonry walls.
? Understand the function and placement of weeps and flashing in both double and single
wythe masonry walls.
? Understanding the basic dos and don'ts of stucco application on masonry walls.
