AIA Orlando: "October is Architecture Month in Orlando!"
Return to: Calendar
Start: Friday, October 1, 2010
Web Site: http://aiaorlando.com/architecturemonth/#registerforevents
AIA Orlando welcomes you to the Third Annual Architecture Month program. In this year of continued change and reexamination of the architecture profession, we hope you will find the variety of programs a source of inspiration and opportunity.
This year we have lectures by Bernard Zyscovich, AIA and Ralph Hawkins, AIA – both sharing insights from their firms. Jim Fadal, AIA from HHCP will be joined by … and together they will talk about the upcoming impact of SunRail on our region and how transit-oriented-design will play a role in shaping our community. Through our partnership with the Themed Entertainment Association will also offer a special program that will provide a rare panel of the theme park design groups talking about how architecture and fantasy interact. As well we are happy to showcase the work of our emerging professionals in the Young Architects Forum and Valencia Community College. We also will host firm open houses at OB Architects and L2 Studios. And as always, CanStruction and the ever popular Design Party round out our event offerings this year.
I encourage you to put a handful of these events on your calendar and enjoy the camaraderie and CEU opportunities that AIA Orlando is so grateful to be able to offer to you, our members and the community. These events would, of course, not be possible without the generous support of our sponsors, so please take a moment to thank them in person when you see them at one of our event.
Thanks for attending, and enjoy.
