COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This seminar will begin with an introduction of Pactiv Building Products and their GreenGuard brand of XPS insulation and building wrap. It will also cover building science principles: Understanding Structure Performance, high performance goals accomplished via building wrap and XPS insulation, air and moisture transfer, and energy transfer. There will be a LEED update on recycled content in xps insulation, discussion on the details of building wrap product testing, 2009 IECC Code review for Foam (energy) and Wrap (Water Resistive Barrier – WRB) – (Residential &Commercial) and discussion about flashing and jobsite details via review of installation guidelines (Residential & Commercial).
