Introduction
This seminar provides architects with practical knowledge of the scoping requirements outlined in Chapter 2 of the Florida Building Code – Accessibility Volume. Participants will explore key provisions and learn how to apply them in compliance with both federal and state accessibility laws.
Description
This course helps architects align their designs with legal standards by examining the relationship between Florida’s Accessibility Code, ADA, and state statutes. Through practical examples, participants will gain confidence in applying scoping provisions to ensure compliance and promote accessibility.
Objective
By the end of this course, participants will:
Develop a working knowledge of the scoping provisions in the Florida Building Code – Accessibility Volume. Understand the relationship between the Accessibility Code, federal law (such as ADA), and Florida state statutes. Interpret and clarify the scoping requirements within the Accessibility Code. Apply scoping provisions to real-world architectural scenarios to ensure compliance. Efficiently locate specific sections of the Accessibility Code for reference during design or project development.
