2012 ARCHITECTURAL PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST
AIA Tampa Bay presents our annual 2012 Architectural Photography Contest. The top
entries will be exhibited as part of our Archtober Celebration at The Florida Museum of
Photographic Arts. There will be a special reception announcing the winners on October
25th. The photographs will be displayed from October 18th through the 31st at FMOPA.
ELIGIBILTY
The competition is open to the general public and amateur photographers. Professional
photographers are not eligible for prize money, but are welcome to participate and have
their pictures displayed at FMOPA.
CATEGORIES
The subject matter must have an architectural theme or must contain some element of
the built environment. Location of images is unrestricted.
CASH AWARDS
First Place - $500
Second Place - $250
Third Place - $125
CONDITION OF ENTRY
Entry Fee is non-refundable
- $40.00 US for AIA Members | FMOPA Members
- $45.00 for non-members
- $30.00 for students
- Each entry is allowed to submit up to five (5) prints
- Prints must be mounted on 8”x10” black board which will be provided by the AIA
- Each entry will allow for one photograph to be framed and hung during the show
(frames will be provided by the AIA)
- Entrant must indicate which photograph they would like displayed (winners will
automatically be displayed)
- If Entrant would like more than one photograph displayed at FMOPA there is an
additional $10 per photo (additional frames to be provided by AIA)
- Unlimited number of entries.
- Each image must also submit images in JPG or TIFF format.
- Entries must have been taken and owned by the entrant.
- Attach a sealed envelope to the back of each mounted print with the following:
- Entrant’s name, address, and telephone number
- Print title
- Location of image and other descriptive information
- Indicate which if the image(s) should be framed and hung at FMOPA
- Entrants grant permission to AIA Tampa Bay to show prints for exhibitions,
publications and for promotional purposes. All winning entries will become the
property of AIA Tampa Bay.
- Mounting boards can be picked up from AIA Tampa Bay Chapter Office, Monday-
Friday, 9am-5pm. Please pick up your boards prior to the due date, as they must
be mounted and intact when you drop them off on or before October 1st.

Entry(s) must be received by 5:00 PM October 1st, 2012
