In order to develop a strong grassroots relationship with candidates for the state House, state Senate and Executive offices as well as Florida’s Congressional leaders in Washington D.C., the Florida Association of the American Institute of Architects (FA/AIA) has developed a Key Person Contact Program. In this program, the “contacts” are architects who have personal relationship[s with legislators and congressmen of the state of Florida. These architects serves as liaisons between the FA/AIA and lawmakers, creating a line of communication to relay technical and general information regarding legislative issues and to hand deliver contribution checks to supported candidates.
