AIA Florida Continuing Education Policies

Live Programs

­

Seminar and Convention Materials­

­

Instead of materials at AIA Florida events, you’ll be able to download the materials electronically in advance of the program.­ An email will be sent to you with a link to access the presentations.­ Please make sure emails from AIA Florida are not flagged as junk mail or spam by your company.

­

Registration Volume Discount (License Renewal Seminar Only)

­

If five or more AIA members from the same firm or organization register for all three days (24 CE hours) of the AIA Florida License Renewal Seminar, each registered person is eligible for a 15% discount off the registration fee.

­

These discounts do not apply to nonmember fees or late fees and they may not be used in conjunction with other discounts. To take advantage of this discount, please call AIA Florida to register everyone at the same time.
­

Substitutions, Transfers and Cancellations (AIA Florida Annual Convention & License Renewal Seminars Only)

­

A registrant may substitute another registrant up to the beginning of the first morning session of the presentation. If the event has a non-member fee, and a nonmember substitutes for a member, the nonmember will be charged the applicable nonmember fee.

­

Cancellations requested more than five days prior to the course presentation date will receive a full refund.

­

Cancellations requested after the five-day cutoff will not receive a refund unless there is a documented hardship. In which case, following an individual review, a refund may be granted less a $75 cancellation fee. ­

No verbal or phone request for cancellations will be taken.­ All requests must be in writing.
­

There will be no transfer or refund granted after the course presentation date.

­

No Smoking

­

AIA Florida is dedicated to providing a comfortable and productive learning environment for participants. This goal can be achieved through ongoing efforts to protect nonsmokers and to help participants adjust to smoking restrictions. Smoking is prohibited in all AIA Florida CE programs. “Smoking permitted” areas shall include areas allowed by the facility or by Florida law outside the classrooms. In addition, no smoking is allowed within the lunch areas.

Communication Devices

­

To maintain a comfortable and productive learning environment for participants, unnecessary distractions within the classroom must be avoided. All disruptive communication devices are prohibited during all AIA Florida CE programs.

Special Accommodations

­

In accordance with the American Disabilities Act (ADA), AIA Florida will try to reasonably accommodate anyone disabled and in need of special services. Please inform AIA Florida staff in advance of any special needs requests.­

Special Notes

­

Most meeting rooms vary in temperature throughout the day and generally are cool rather than warm. Dress comfortably; take a jacket if you tend to chill easily.

­

Children younger than 16 are not permitted at AIA Florida CE programs.

­

Consent to Use Photographs

­

By attending an AIA Florida event, you grant permission to AIA Florida to use your name, image, and/or voice in any of AIA Florida’s electronic, print, or multimedia publications (including but not limited to internal or external publications or media sources via newspaper articles, television coverage, online/web content, social media outlets, and any other print or electronic publications by AIA Florida) and agree that you will make no monetary or other claim against AIA Florida relating to this use of your name, image and/or voice.
Minors will not be photographed, videoed or recorded or their images or voices used by AIA Florida without the written consent of parents or legal guardians.

Online Products

Refunds

­

Purchasers may request a refund for Online products up to 30 days after the purchase date.­ No refunds will be issued after 30 days from the purchase date.­ No verbal or phone request for refunds will be taken.­ All requests must be in writing.

DVD and Online Course Deadline for 2019 License Renewal

­

DVD orders must be received no later than December 22, 2017 to be processed in time for the December 31, 2017 CE completion deadline.­ Online courses can still be purchased and will count towards the December 31, 2018 deadline if course completed notice is received by AIA Florida by midnight, December 31, 2018.
